The aspirator with stopper flask FTA-2i has been developed for aspirating or removing alcohol, buffer or liquid from reaction vessels (for example for DNA/RNA purification or other macromolecular precipitation methods). The instrument can be used for routine washing of cells and removal of culture media and resuspension in buffer solutions. The operation of the extractor is based on the generation of negative pressure in the suction pit by means of a built-in microprocessor. The collecting nozzle is connected to the piston holder by a polyethylene tube. The liquid is removed from the reaction vessel when the collection nozzle comes into contact with the solution. The tube holder/organizer is conveniently located on the right side of the FTA-2i; it has two 1.5/2 ml tube slots (e.g. for hydrogen chloride solution and distillate), which are necessary for washing and storing the collection nozzle, so that one nozzle can be reused. The FTA-2i is equipped with a level sensor that detects excess liquid and automatically switches off the pump (accompanied by an audible alarm) to prevent flooding. The standard version of the device comes with a control knob to regulate the vacuum, allowing smooth selection of the desired suction speed.
