The Foss Hydrotec 8000 is an automated acid hydrolysis unit specifically designed for busy laboratories with high sample processing requirements. This innovative system allows for automatic acid hydrolysis without the need for sample transfer. Its compact size and unique batch processing features, such as the 12-seat sample holder and foldable design, ensure efficient use of laboratory space. The unit incorporates a pump system for the addition and removal of chemicals, reducing the risk of human error and enhancing safety. After hydrolysis, the samples and HydroCaps are dried and placed in a specially designed tool for easy transfer to the extraction unit, with six hydrolyzed samples per set. The filtration system utilized in the unit retains fat during hydrolysis but releases it during extraction.
